Summary:
|
Platte County School District proudly hosted “Military Appreciation Night” at the September 20 home football game, featuring a breathtaking C-130 flyover by the 180th Airlift Squadron of the 139th Airlift Wing from Rosecrans Air National Guard Base in St. Joseph, Missouri. Prior to the flyover, members of our local American Legion and local guardsmen presented the colors at center field. Pirate Stadium was honored to have Lieutenant Colonel Eric “Rawhide” Rawlings, 139th Operations Group Commander and PCHS Class of 1990 alum; Colonel Barrett “Scooter” Golden, Deputy Commander of the 139th Airlift Wing; and Captain Albert Selanders, Instructor Pilot, return to be recognized during halftime of the game. |
