Summary:

We ask that the board of education approve the contract changes from Clark & Enersen. These changes are a result of the additions to the Northland Workforce Development Center (NWDC). The original cost of the project when the contract was developed was $60 Million and the final design is a $74 Million project. Since this contract has been signed in 2023, the State of Missouri has allocated an additional $7 Million to support the project.
The change in contract does not affect the overall cost of the project. It will remain as a $74 Million project, featuring 145,000 square feet of pure innovation, creating a state of the art Career and Technical Education space and many opportunities for real-world learning opportunities and partnerships. This facility will change workforce and economic conversations in the Kansas City area and Northland for the next 50+ years. |
