Student Information System Memorandum and Recommendation 11112022.pdf
Summary: On July 21, 2022 Infinite Campus announced a partnership with Tyler Technologies to acquire the SISK12 customer base and end support for the program. Customers were given the option to explore all student information solutions or forcibly migrate on an undetermined timeline. We took this opportunity to research all available options and determine the best fit for the growing needs of the Platte County R-3 School District.

The scope of our software transition will take several months to complete and will require the vendor to work in partnership with our student information team to manage the project. Several departments will be involved in this transition, including Technology, Operations, Pupil Services, and Academic Services. Our goal is to complete the transition by July 15, 2023 and be live for all classes grades PreK-12.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was written and posted after two months of extensive research, both with vendors and internal staff. Through our Communications Department we launched a staff survey, and several interviews were conducted with specific stakeholders including transportation, medical staff, teachers, principals, and administrative assistants. Through their responses, product demonstrations, and local comparisons, we determined our rubric scoring criteria. All submissions were given a numerical rating and scored for the following criteria: Deployment, Support, Integration, Data and Security, and User Experience. Using that methodology we determined our recommendation denoted on the attachment memorandum.
