Summary:
|
Proposed updates to the substitute salary schedule for 2024-2025:(1) Align hourly rates for the following substitute positions with the first step of the support staff salary schedule: Paraprofessional, Library Media Assistant, Lunch Monitor, Building Aide 2, Administrative Assistant, Nurse, Custodian; (2) Adjust substitute teacher pay: Set regular substitute teacher rate equal to substitute paraprofessional hourly rate, and Increase long-term substitute teacher rate proportionally based on new substitute teacher rate; and (3) Raise retired teacher rate by 4% ($1). These changes align with our continued goal of standardizing substitute pay rates across positions and ensuring competitive compensation for all substitute roles. The rate change will be effective July 21, 2024.
