Summary:
|
During the 2022-2023 school year, the Northland Career Center (NCC) Aviation Technology Program Advisory Committee recommended a partnership between NCC’s program and Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM). As part of this partnership, students who are enrolled in the NCC Aviation Program are able to learn additional competencies that will allow them to sit for the general portion of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) part 147 Airframe and Powerplant assessment. To support this new opportunity, it was recommended to purchase various equipment and trainers by the advisory committee and AIM instructional leadership team. One of the items that fit into the FY 24 budget is the fuel injection training system. More information on this system can be found on the item description flier. The cost for the Avotek F52 Fuel Injection Training System is $17245.00. This purchase is a 75%/25% reimbursed grant, and will only require $4,311.25 of local funds from NCC’s budget with the remaining $12,933.25 being reimbursed as part of the enhancement grant process.
