Summary:
|
This RFP was developed to continue our plan of leasing (lease to purchase) buses to refresh the fleet. There are currently five (5) buses in the fleet that need to be replaced due to bus age, high mileage and mechanical issues. Additionally, due to growth and the need to add a route, an additional bus will need to be secured. The RFP requested that the bid present leasing options for off lease, low mileage and that full warranty for period of the lease be included. The five (5) buses being replaced will be ‘surplused’ and sold via GovDeals.
There were a total of three bidders (see bid tabulation), two offered off lease buses and one bid new buses. A key deciding factor in the recommendation that is being presented, was mileage and model year of the proposed buses. The buses selected are projected for delivery in August 2024. |
